Snorkel Booms

When they were introduced, Snorkel boom machines quickly became the industry leader in terms of quality, low maintenance cost, greatest dependability and performance. They also have very high resale values in the used equipment market, indeed perhaps they have the best residuals in the work platform market place.

To keep their "top ranking" each year new Snorkel booms have been added to their product line, providing a wide range of telescoping and articulating/telescoping Snorkel booms with a reach from 37' to 126'.

The TB series of telescoping and telescoping jib booms includes models with working heights from 43' to 132' (13.1m to 40.2m), horizontal reach from 32' to over 71' (9.8m to over 21.7m), 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive, petrol or diesel engines, and platform capacities up to 318 kg.

The Snorkel boom range all have weight-saving aluminum booms, powerful engines and high torque drive motors to produce a high power-to-weight ratio, useful for negotiating all types of working site conditions. With their long list of built-in safety, quality and operator comfort features, these machines dependable performers in any construction or industrial operation.

Examples of uses for Booms are many, street lighting and roof works being just two. The reason to use such platforms is often driven by safety, especially with the LOLER and Working at Heights legislation. Towable Boom Lifts

Towable boom lifts are available from a number of manufacturers and normally consist of an articulated boom and turntable mounted on a towable trailer chassis. The Towable Boom lift is a versatile machine which can be towed behind vehicles (please check with us here) with a sufficient towing capacity. Towable Boom Lifts are powered by either batteries that are rechargeable through a standard electric outlet or by a petrol engine. All models feature self-leveling hydraulic outriggers for faster and easier set-up on the job.

Purchase or Rent Booms

In some cases it is best to buy new boom equipment, in others secondhand equipment is the better bet. In other cases again, hiring the boom offers the best route. We have access to a large base of equipment for hire, with depots throughout the UK, plus we always have a selection of used equipment. Plus of course we can source new access equipment for you from all the major aerial access platform manufactures.
